NexScreen Cup (CLIA-waived)

NexScreen Cup, integrated rapid drug test cup, set the standard for advanced rapid drug testing. It is accurate, easy, rugged, and flexible.

Accurate: The NexScreen Cup (FDA-cleared, CLIA-waived, CE marked) provides the same accuracy as a laboratory. In an independent study, the NexScreen Cup provided 100% correlation at 25% and 50% above and below cutoff. NexScreen Cup’s testing accuracy has been published in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology and endorsed by the Society of Forensic Toxicologists.

Simplicity: Just collect the specimen, peel away the label, and read the color-coded results.  There’s only 1 drug test on each strip making it easy to read.

Rugged: NexScreen Cup is built to withstand the rigors of drug testing. It is unbreakable, tamper proof,  and leak proof. It won’t fail when dropped or when undergoing pressure changes.

Flexible: NexScreen Cup offers a broad range of 14 drug and 6 adulterant screens shown below.

Are there special requirements for storing the NexScreen Cup?

No, store the product at room temperature up to the date of expiration printed on the individual foil pouch. Do not freeze. Do not store them in extreme heat or cold and keep them sealed in the foil pouch until use.

What is the minimum amount of specimen needed for a conclusive test result?

Collect at least 30ml of specimen.

How long are the test results valid?

The test results are valid up to 8 minutes after the test has been administered.

Does the product need to be disposed of in any special way, such as a biohazard bag?

Yes, once a cup has been voided in by the donor devices should be disposed of in a biohazard container. Please check with your state ordinance regarding disposal procedures. Urine specimens may be infectious; properly handle and dispose of all urine and urine reaction devices in a biohazard container.

Can a donor add something to the specimen that will create a false negative? If so, what can be done to avoid this?

There are a handful of products, called adulterants, which some donors use to attempt to change the result of a test. However, we offer up to six validity screens that detect adulterants.

Do you have to confirm a non-negative result? If so, how is this done?

The NexScreen Cup provides only the initial preliminary screening result. It will be necessary to confirm a presumptive positive result in a lab to conclude a test is positive. NexScreen strongly recommends that a SAMHSA‑certified laboratory confirms all non-negative results. Please call your distributor for more information.

Are the tests FDA Cleared?

All of our products have FDA 510k clearance.

What kind of training is required to administer such tests? How do we get the training?

No formal training is required. To provide your collectors with confidence on their first collection NexScreen provides a complimentary certification exam under our Resources page.
